A new essay on Ezra Maas

I was very pleased and daunted in being asked to submit an essay for a new book Nothing is More Real Than Nothing (Writings on Exra Maas: essays, artefacts, fragments). Most of the other contributions are from an intimidating band of academics and writers, including Marc Nash, Dr. Daniel Barnes, PM Buchan, Dr. Helen Gorril to name just a few.

My piece, elaborating directly on themes from Daniel James’ Unauthorised Biography of Ezra Maas and my reaction to the book, touches on Donald Trump, Capgras syndrome, misinformation, Charlie Kaufman and Camus and is essentially a neurotic panic attack in real time.
