Matt Cook

Matt Cook is the author of the novel Life on Other Planets (Lendal Press, 2021), and winner of the 2025 Leicester Writes Short Story Prize.

In 2020, Matt was shortlisted for the Cambridge Short Story Prize. His stories have appeared in The Stockholm Review, BBC Radio, Oblong Magazine, Number Eleven, Imbroglio, and the Cool Dog Short Story Prize, among others. He works as a freelance writer and lives in the Yorkshire Dales.
